
Bob Gill has served on the GCFP Planning Team since its inception in 2018. A respected leader in Gulf commercial fisheries, he brings 40 years of experience running Shrimp Landing, helped establish the Marine Resource Education Program in the Southeast, and served on the Gulf Fishery Management Council.
Joy Hazell joined the GCFP Planning Team in 2019 and serves as a facilitator. She is the State Specialized Agent in Facilitation and Conflict Management with the University of Florida and Florida Sea Grant, bringing extensive experience leading collaborative natural resource management processes across Florida and beyond. She is also the Interim Director of the Natural Resources Leadership institute.
Matt Kammann, Fisheries Specialist with Texas Sea Grant, joined the GCFP Planning Team in 2024. He brings extensive experience working with the shrimp industry on bycatch and sea turtle reduction technology, also known as the "Better BRD Projecct", as well as fisheries management and research in the Caribbean.

Laura Picariello is an original member of the GCFP Planning Team and brings 15 years of experience in commercial fisheries. She currently serves as Interim Director of Texas Sea Grant, where she leads research, extension, and education programs that support sustainable practices and practical solutions for fishing communities.

Ashford Rosenberg has been part of the GCFP Planning Team since 2018 and works in Gulf commercial fisheries policy. She is the Director of Regional Policy and Special Projects for the Gulf of America Reef Fish Shareholders’ Alliance, where she leads regional policy and cooperative research initiatives that promote responsible fisheries management.
